This drawing was done in graphite pencil. The reference photo that I used was a portrait of Marilyn Monroe which was taken by Ted Baron in 1954, in Harry Crocker's garden on North Rodeo Drive, California.
In late 2012, at the age of seventeen, drawing captivated Abbey. She is now passionate about capturing the soul of another through her artwork, using graphite as medium. She favors drawing animals because of their innocence and has been very fortunate that wildlife photographer Ken Conger was so impressed with her work that he is allowing Abbey to draw from his photographs that he captures of animals in the wild. She enjoys drawing Marilyn Monroe because of her intriguing qualities and of course loves to do commissioned portraits of your pets capturing their personalities.
